Past. Are you proud of yours? Looking back on the last twenty-one years of my life, I can honestly say I am proud of my past. Of course, there are things I would change, as anyone would. Maybe I wouldn't say something that was said, and spare someone's feelings. I would pay a little more attention in History class (Sorry, Mrs. Davis) instead of waiting until my senior year to keep up with good grades... but honestly. I did my best to choose right from wrong, and stay on the right path. The path my parents always taught me was right, and I'm thankful for that. When you're young, and someone older tells you to 'listen to your parents, because one day you'll be glad that you did.' Take that advice... because when you're older, that's all you have to look back on. If you're one of those people who say 'You only live once, so have fun while you're young'. You're right... to an extent. I'm still young, still learning new things every day of my life, so I'm not some old fart telling you my life's lessons. You should definitely live life to the fullest. Live every day like it is your last. Don't hold back, don't let go. Fall in love, cry when you need to, laugh when you're not suppose to, and call on a friend when you have no one else to turn to, because like I said... those are the memories you'll always have. That is ONE thing no one, absolutely no one, can take away from you. Go ahead, make your mistakes. That's how you learn.
Okay, okay, so this isn't a blog to lecture. It just feels nice to know that it's never too late to fix a mistake. Maybe you can't change the past, but you can mend it, even if you suck at sewing.
